CORE and CST on the web
A CST site was started in 2015 to mark the fact that we had put all the instruments into a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-ND 4.0). That was the logical development of the fact that we have never charged for reproduction of the instruments on paper and extended that to implementation in software. This current site, coming live line in summer 2019 is a development of the 2015 site bring more clarity to authorship of the site and the person power of CST. This page has the key legalities and a hierarchical menu of pages should be visible to you, on the left if you have a large screen, or as a pull down menu if you’re on a small screen, with that and the search box, I hope you can find what you want on the site. If not, do tell me.
Copyright of the instruments and the site contents
Instruments: all the instruments and perhaps some other content here is copyright to CST not myself. As it’s vital for comparability of findings for instruments, and for proper referencing and citing of some informative materials and publications, they are made available under a licence, the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-ND 4.0) that allows you to use them, without any licence payments as long as their content is not changed in any way including retaining the copyright line on each instrument. Before reproducing any instrument in any way, please check detail on the licensing of the instruments.
Most of this site: most other content here is copyright to me (CE) but is made available under a more relaxed licence (Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) ) than for the instruments as it’s not so vital that content is unchanged. This allows you to reuse parts provided that you use the same licence and make some clear attribution back here within the usage. If it’s not clear what licence covers what, you must use the “Contact” form to get me to clarify things.
